ABOUT
The Power and Beauty Band is the creation of Ike and Linda Nnene who have had longstanding desire to impact lives through their music.
They are using the powerful medium of music to share the Christian message of love, hope and triumph over adversity in life.
Power and Beauty are qualities that we as God's children have been created to manifest. As we learn and apply the principles for victorious living, we evolve into the powerful and beautiful people of passion and purpose who are living fulfilled lives and making a difference in our world.
The Power and Beauty Band came into being in 2017 and announced their arrival with the first Power and Beauty Gospel Concert In August 2017. The concert featured songs written by Ike & Linda as well as other great gospel songs all delivered with a passion and sincerity that touched the lives of the audience. We believe that there is power in the words of the songs we sing. There is power to heal, power to grow and power to transform lives. It is indeed a privilege to be able to positively impact lives while pursuing our passion.
We celebrate the wonderful people who have joined us on this journey making available their vocal and musical talent that is seeing the group scale to higher heights.
The Power and Beauty Band deliver their songs in a variety of styles including gospel, worship, contemporary, R&B, jazz, and afrobeats.
The Power and Beauty Band is blessed with a strong musical section headed by Matt Hubbard. We have made a commitment to keep pushing for greater levels of excellence in the creation and delivery of music that makes a positive difference.

Alastair
Alastair has a passion for music creation. He is a talented grade 8 level saxophonist and also plays the drums. He is off to Bristol Old Vic Theatre School to study Production Arts (Stage and Screen). He is keen cyclist and fitness enthusiast.
Alice
Alice is currently a student. She is a gifted singer and musician who has performed since a young age. She appeared on the stage of the Barbican Theatre, London at the age of 8 in the musical South Pacific. She has taken part in several music productions in her school and is part of the worship team at Soul Church. She plays the keyboard and violin and extends her creativity to song writing.
Anderson
Anderson has played music in church since the age of 5 years. He plays the drums as well as keyboards and bass guitar. He has great vocal range and an provides an excellent tenor . He works as a business manager in London and is passionate Liverpool FC supporter.
Kuda
Kuda is part of the worship team of Soul Church , Norwich. He is versatile musician who specilaises in the bass guitar.
Annette
Annette is a qualified solicitor and a Fellow of the the Chartered Management Institute with a stint in sessional academia. She works as a business manager covering three counties in the eastern region. In her spare time she runs a proton practice offering advice, case analysis and / or advocacy support to parents whose children have special educational needs. Annette took her first solo at the age of 10 and delights in singing. She is part of a choir that meets on an adhoc basis led by Natania Goldrich in which Annette sings parts of soprano 2 or alto. Annette has contributed her voice to an album and is excited to be part of the Power and Beauty Band.
Benjamin
Benjamin is pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Economics and Politics at the University of Essex. He has played music and sung since childhood and enjoys playing and creating tunes on piano and guitar. He leads worship at his campus fellowship and enjoys the community provided by the Power and Beauty Band. He is an ardent Liverpool FC fan and he plays rugby for his university.
Dean
Dean loves creating music. He is an avid drummer with a heart for worship
Djinh
Djinh works as a marketing communications executive for a financial advisors firm in Norwich. He is a worship leader, singer, and keyboardist who also plays guitar and saxophone. He is part of the worship ministry team at Soul Church, Norwich. He has a passion for travel and cooking using new ideas.
Genevieve
Genevieve is a third year Geography and International Development student, at the University of East Anglia. As her degree reflects, Genevieve has a passion for global development, culture and has a budding interest in social enterprise.
Aside from being a student, Genevieve is a quiet, yet creative soul that loves music and enjoys singing, especially with others.
Hannah
Hannah is married to Matt Ashpole and is an Occupational Therapist (OT) who works for a Nursing Home and the charity Hope Into Action which provides accommodation for the homeless in Norwich and other cities in the East of England.
She is gifted violin player and singer. She serves in various capacities in the Dream Team at Soul Church.
Ike
Ike is a Medical Doctor and works as a General Practitioner in Norwich. He is passionate about seeing the fulfilment of potential in peoples lives. He has been a worship leader since his undergraduate days and now is part of the team at Soul Church.
Junior
Junior loves to sing and has been part of church music groups over many years . He has sung with the celebrated CK Gospel Choir on national TV. He is a branch manager in London.
Laura
Laura is currently a student. She is involved in a number of community projects in her spare time and loves to give back. She has been learning to play the piano since the age of 4 and is now learning to play the clarinet. She is a member of her school’s Cantore, a year choir and part of the training orchestra. Laura is an enthused singer and sings alto.
Linda
Linda has been singing since her childhood and is a talented song writer and worship leader. She loves gospel style of music and is comfortable ministering in an array of arrangements. Linda is a teacher and Head of Politics and Law in her school in Norwich. She brings passion to her calling of educating the future generations. She has a special interest in progress and attainment.
Liz
Liz is Communications Director at the City of Norwich School. She is devoted to christian Music and plays the violin and sings at Her Local church, Norwich Central Baptist Church
Matt
Matt is a musical director at Soul Church who plays many different instruments and teaches guitar, bass, piano and synth. He also plays in the Energy Function band that plays covers and providing music for wedding receptions and parties. Matt has played guitar since the age of 12.
"I wanted to learn when I saw the guitarist rocking out on his Les Paul and something clicked in my head that I wanted to learn. Before then I was playing with Star Wars Lego (which is still awesome) and gaming. Since then I have been in many bands including Kairos, National Image and Shuck Shuck, writing and performing lots of music."
Only Instrument: "If I had to only play one instrument for the rest of my life, it would be my Les Paul guitar."
Interesting facts: "I can go cross eyed then move my eyes independently and I make the best cheese sauce you've ever tasted."

Oke
Oke is currently a student. She is a talented vocalist who sings in the soprano range. She has brought her musical talent to several school productions and has a heart for worship.
Somto
Somto is currently a student. She is a gifted singer, dancer and choreographer. She loves cheerleading. She sings soprano.
Renah
Renah has graduated from the University of East Anglia where she studied Biomedical Sciences. She is now a procurement scientist in Bury. She loves listening to music, singing and dancing. She is an advanced violin player. She serves as a member of the Dream Team at Soul Church, Norwich.
Vicky
Vickie is a Physiotherapist. She loves to read, sing, dance and listen to music. Her natural singing part is Alto.

Y'etsha
Y'etsha is studying Psychology at University of East Anglia. She is passionate about all things the fulfil the work of the kingdom. She is a graduate of the Kingdom Faith Training College and a Youth Project leader. She loves singing as a worship leader and gospel performer.
